01Brief
A neighbourhood Starbucks reimagined as a quiet civic room in Chennai's busy Adyar district — warm timber, brass detailing, and a slow rhythm of seating that resists the noise outside.
02Approach
We began with a careful site survey of an awkward double-height shell, then coordinated with the brand's global design team to land custom millwork that felt local without breaking the playbook. Joinery was prototyped on site to dial in the timber tone and grain direction; brass hardware was specified to age gracefully under heavy daily use.
Programme protected, trades sequenced, finishes detailed and snagged. The room was handed over with a complete close-out pack and a six-month inspection cadence.
